Located on Maui, Hawai'i we specialize in hand crafted, luxury soap.  Each bar  is meticulously made in small batches to ensure quality.  We truly take pride in what we do and strive to make it perfect for you and your family.   

Our Story

I started out making soap in Portland, Oregon. On rainy days (and there were a lot of those) I would turn the music up and start making soap. I was fascinated by the chemistry of it and the simplistic, rustic style of cold process soap making; which is the art of turning oils and or fats into raw soap.  

I bought every soap making book available and would read them cover to cover. Trial and error is key when you indulge into a trade like this. Back then I stirred every batch by hand and I spent many afternoons stirring a pot of soap that would eventually either turn into perfection or turn into something unexpected. I looked forward to every experiment and became more passionate after every batch. 

As the years went by, I continued my passion. I landed in Hawai'i in 2003 and luckily had the opportunity of creating the soap recipes and doing the production for a wonderful, natural company here on Maui. After 8 years of professional experience and learning so very much from not only all of my research but also from the people around me, I started Shaka Street Soap Works. 

Today, I am a mom to two beautiful little beings and enjoy every second watching them grow up in this beautiful place while creating the products you see here.
